ETR Associates Research Team / Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Release School-Based Physical Activity Report

April 27, 2010.  ETR Associates, in partnership with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Division of Adolescent and School Health (CDC DASH), today announced the release of a new publication “The Association Between School-Based Physical Activity, Including Physical Education, and Academic Performance.”  This publication provides a comprehensive review of the current state of research examining the connection between school-based physical activity (e.g., physical education, recess, classroom-based and extracurricular activity) and academic performance outcomes (e.g., test scores, on-task behavior, attendance, memory and mood). The report was developed for CDC DASH under contract by a team from ETR’s Research Department, including Dr. Karin Coyle, Dr. Lisa Russell, B. A. Laris, consultant Krystin Martens, Emily Newman, Seow Ling Ong, Lisa Unti, Carrie Goodwin, Liz Turner and Eloy Ortiz.  Click here to access this report.
